swamp daisy (a.k.a. flaunt daisy)

my dear friend julie gave us these swamp daisies a few months ago and they were only about 12 inches tall. she told me they would be the glory of the yard, reaching heavenward in a sweeping motion begging passersby to stop in awe of their beauty.

okay, maybe those weren't exactly her words, but she did say they would catch the eye of those passing by. they are quite impressive. ours has just started to bloom.

when we got them shaun thought julie said they were flaunt daisies. he tried to google flaunt daisy so he could know just how to take care of these delicate little jewels but he didn't come up with much.

i told him that i was pretty sure they were swamp daisies. so now they are lovingly called flaunt daisies at our home. but i think it's kind of an appropriate name...

i wish i could get a better picture of it but it's really sunny out. i used eva to show how tall they are.

  1. I'm so glad I'm not the only one that blogs about boring garden stuff! ;)
